The Royal Variety is a four piece band that performs music from the 1960's British Invasion era. like  The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who,  The Kinks, Manfred Mann, The Easybeats and other great sixties pop icons as well as some lesser know acts.  The group consists of Tom Cavanagh (Vocals/Guitar), Dave Clark (Vocals/Bass), Jay Sharkey  (Vocals/Drums), and Chris Jordan (Vocals/Keys/Guitar).  By using period accurate guitars, basses, drums and amps, and dressing the part, The Royal Variety are able to capture absolute authenticity and recreate the famous sounds and looks of that wonderful era. 

Originally this band was created to support the 2013 album by Thomas Cavanagh called "63-64" which is an  album  comprised of original songs penned by Cavanagh in a very Beatle and British Invasion sound of the early 1960s. The album contains 12 tracks that would all have been number one hits had they been released in those years. The album was recorded using primitive out of date recording machines and vintage instruments. Cavanagh played all the instruments on the record but uses a four piece band to perform live. It's a fun record and a great listen for any music fans of that era and genre.
