Bent Pussycat Band
Bent Pussycat is a pop rock band that plays all original music in the style of Cheap Trick, The Who, The Smithereens, Green Day, Fountains of Wayne and more of that genre.
The band was started by Thomas Cavanagh in the 1998 and then took a several year hiatus until 2001 and was heavily active until 2005 making records, appearing in videos, touring and opening for acts like Twisted Sister, Rick Derringer, Starz, Eddie Ojeda, Pretty Boy Floyd, Zebra, Bent Brother and many more.
In 2010 Cavanagh revived the band to do a series of gigs in NYC and on Long Island as well as a few in-store appearances.
The band has recorded and released three full length albums and another is planned for 2013. Check the tour dates page on this site for upcoming shows.

Cavanagh has revived the British Invasion tribute band THE ROYAL VARIETY for the 60 year anniversary of The Beatles A HARD DAYS NIGHT movie and Album. The Royal Variety have been out performing the entire historic album completely from beginning to end as well as songs from The Kinks, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Hollies, The Easybeats, Manfred Mann and classic British invasion bands of the early 1960s. Cavanagh to rerelease the 63-64 album remixed and remastered for vinyl and digital platforms in July 2024.
