Tom Cavanagh and the Motor Parkway Blues Band was born in January 2011 when a few friends got together for a jam session at Tom's Studio. The idea to do a blues album has been in Cavanagh's head for years and in in the summer of 2010 he recorded a few acoustic blues tunes but desired to recreate the vibe of the early blues records by Elmore James, BB KIng, Freddie King and the 60's british blues invasion.
The band consists of Tom Cavanagh on guitar and vocals, Niles Hughes on Drums, Kenny Kearney on bass and Johnny Fallon on organ and keys.

In 2011 the band released the album Ain't no good can come from me. The record sold very well and even won a few awards. The band plays every so often when their schedules can link up. Plans for a new album in 2014 are currently in the works.
